Content

When a patent is infringed: stay calm! Rushing to litigate might not always be the best business decision, even if it might be legally right. Justice can be expensive, not just in legal fees, but also in terms of staff resources, lost opportunities and bad PR. In a worst case the patent itself could be revoked! This ip4inno module will compare litigation with other cost-effective alternatives which could resolve a dispute. Disaster can be turned into opportunity if an infringer can become a licensing partner. The choices will be presented from the point of view of business decisions rather than legal procedures.

The virtual classroom tutor will be ip4inno Project Leader Jeremy Philpott, Head of Innovation Support of the European Patent Academy.
