Description
This seminar aims to present the EPO to patent attorney support staff and to provide them with the knowledge of administrative and formal aspects of the European patent grant procedure that is commonly required in daily practice. It will include aspects of the Receiving Section procedure and provide an overview of how a standard file is prosecuted during Examination proceedings. Special attention will be given to recent legal and procedural changes. The event will be enriched by the opportunity to meet and talk with formalities officers at their working place, discussing examples of best practice and efficient cooperation. An EPO examiner will also present his work. A question & answer session on EPO Online Services will round up the seminar.

Target groups
Support staff / formalities officers in patent law firms and industrial sector having at least one year of professional experience in European filings.

Registration fee
A registration fee of EUR 250 is levied.
This fee covers seminar material and catering for the whole event. The fee cannot be split and is once paid only refundable until 29 days before the first seminar day. After this date, there is no refund possible.
As long as the EPO has not received your registration fee, your registration is regarded as preliminary. Once the EPO has received your payment, you will receive an email confirming your participation in the seminar.

Payment of the registration fee can be made by either

- by debiting your EPO deposit account
