The International Conference on Managing, Financing and Protecting Innovation is organised on the occasion of and preceding the Fourth Venice Award for Intellectual Property Culture (1).

In its first session, it will explain the process of innovation and show how industrial property information and management tools can support critical decisions in the different development phases. The second session will provide essentials in financing innovation, show typical financial problems of SMEs, present the views and criteria of investors and give guidance on how to acquire public funding. The third session will focus on low-risk strategies for enforcing and defending companies' intellectual assets in the case of potential legal conflicts.

The conference will serve as a platform to discuss and exchange experiences with international experts and colleagues from business, finance and the IP profession.

(1) The award ceremony of the Fourth Venice Award for Intellectual Property Culture will be organised by the City of Venice and will take place on Friday, 23 November 2007, in the Palazzo Ducale, Venice. The City of Venice invites all participants of the international conference to attend the award ceremony.

Registration fee

EUR 220 The fee covers conference material, cocktail reception and the catering during the international conference. The participation in the award ceremony of the Fourth Venice Award for Intellectual Property Culture is also included. Once paid the fee is not refundable. The fee cannot be split.
