Description

This course will cover the following topics: How to apply for a patent in the US, what subject matter is patentable in the US (including a discussion of recent Supreme Court decisions), the grace period in the US for inventors' own disclosures, the America Invents Act and the shift from a "first-to-invent" to a "first inventor-to-file" system in the US, and other key changes to the US patent system brought about by the America Invents Act, including new post-grant procedures and the duty of disclosure in the US.
