Description

This seminar covers the European patenting process as a whole, from filing via search and examination to grant, followed by opposition and appeals. It looks at the "big picture" as well as at the main issues associated with each step of the European granting procedure.

 

This seminar will be of interest to a wide range of participants from National Patent Offices, not only formalities staff and examiners but also legal experts,as it covers not only the patenting process from "filing to grant" but also more in-depth information relating to opposition and the Boards of Appeal.

 

The procedures relating to the Unitary Patent and the Unified patent court shall also be presented.

Prerequisites

Participants must have sufficient knowledge of the patent system and a very good command of English, both orally and in writing.
