Description

This virtual classroom is dedicated to the latest developments of the unitary patent regulations and the Unified Patent Court Agreement. The unitary patent will provide legal protection for inventions through one single administrative procedure. A Unified Patent Court will be set up with exclusive jurisdiction for infringement and revocation actions relating to classical European patents and unitary patents.

An expert from the European Patent Office will discuss various aspects around the topic. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. In addition, the expert will provide an outlook regarding the expected implementation.

Prerequisites

Virtual classrooms organised by the European Patent Academy use the Cisco WebEx interface. In order to join the virtual classrooms, participants will not need to upload any additional software. They simply need a computer with an internet browser and high-speed broadband internet connection. Security settings on local Firewalls need to be checked. For more information please see the "VC guidelines for participants" under "Downloads". The use of headsets is recommended.
