Description

One of the priorities of the European Patent Academy and its partners is to support the network of tutors preparing candidates for the European qualifying examination. The annual meeting of tutors with EQE committees allows for an exchange of important information about the most recent examination. Tutors can especially benefit from the direct contact with people in charge of preparing the examination papers and marking candidates' answers. The meetings are always very much appreciated by the tutors attending, as well as the committee members. They provide an excellent opportunity for tutors to learn more about where and how to put particular emphasis when training candidates for the EQE.

Target groups

This event is open to tutors who are active in preparing candidates for the European qualifying examination 2014.

Content

The meeting will give participants the opportunity to discuss - in moderated discussion rounds - with members of the EQE committees topics related to the examination papers of the EQE 2013. Committee members will answer questions and give insight in what was expected from candidates, which particular aspects were generally answered well and what went wrong more often than right. In the online registration form you will be asked to select which of the four examination committees you wish to meet. You may attend up to three sessions with different committees (there will be three discussion rounds).

Accommodation

We have reserved a certain number of rooms at the Sheraton München Arabellapark Hotel from 10 to 11 October 2013 (1 night). If you would like us to book a hotel room for you (subject to availability), please indicate this in the online registration form where requested. The costs for accommodation (1 night including breakfast without extras) will be directly paid by the EPO. Please be aware that this booking is binding and that in the case of cancellation we have to charge you the full amount per room.

If you are a tutor for CEIPI or the epi, please contact your respective organisations regarding the reimbursement of travel expenses.

Materials

We are supporting the EPO's environmental policy therefore we will not be providing any handouts.
