The seminar will provide an overview of IPscore , a software tool for analysing patent portfolios, and its use for patent portfolio management and patent valuation in daily business. Participants will be given an introduction to patent valuation methods as well as to the handling of IPscore.
All support material and hand-outs will be in English. However, our trainers and our administrative staff are trilingual and prepared to answer questions or give explanations in French or German, too.
Seminar participants are required to pay the seminar fees prior to the course, via bank transfer, credit card or deposit account. The registration for a seminar will be accepted as soon as the payment of the participation fee has arrived at the EPO. You will be notified of this via e-mail.
Basic knowledge of patents and business procesess is expected. No specialised knowledge of aptent valuation methods or IPscore is required.
The fee for this seminar two-day seminar is 550. EUR.
The price for students is 165 EUR (see the "Special conditions" in the registration form).
The fee covers participation in the seminar and includes the participant package with seminar support material and refreshments during the seminar.
During the two-day seminar, participants will learn how the value of patents can be assessed and documented with IPscore, and how this approach can be used for systematic portfolio management and related tasks in daily business. Both the qualitative approach used in IP management and the monetary approach used in finance is discussed and trained in realistic exercises.
The workshop will help participants to understand the different methods of patent valuation. They will gain basic knowledge and the ability to perform qualitative/strategic and monetary patent valuation analyses with IPscore, enabling them to provide advice in this area.
