Description

This two day seminar will give experienced patent search professionals from industry unrivalled access to the know-how and expertise of many EPO staff, including patent examiners working in a variety of technical fields. Lectures in the latest developments in patent classification, search tools and databases will be complemented by a broad range of workshops, presented by EPO experts, on search strategies and the state of the art in particular technological fields.

Target groups

Patent information professionals from industry with at least 2 years experience. [Search experts from national patent offices are respectfully directed to alternative advanced EPO training programmes, e.g. PI03-2008 (Vienna, 5-8 May 2008) and PI08-2008 (Vienna, 10-13 November 2008)]

• 11 Lectures for all attendees on the latest developments in search tools and documentation
• 4 Workshops from a choice of 20 in a variety of specific technical subjects
• "at-the-desk" meetings with an examiner (limited availability)

Registration fee

250 € including four workshops and a Networking Dinner on 7 April 2008.

For an additional 250 €, participants can register for a personalised "at-the-desk" meeting with an examiner. This option counts in lieu of two workshops.

The fee covers conference materials and catering for the whole event. It cannot be split and is not refundable.

Application

Before making your on-line application to attend, please read the abstracts of the lectures and workshops (available for download above) so that you can make your choice of which workshops to attend.

Those paying 250 € can select FOUR workshops and TWO reserve choices. Those paying 500 € so as to have an "at-the-desk" meeting with an examiner (limited availability), can select TWO workshops and TWO reserve choices.

Please have your VISA or Master Card credit card, or your bank account details ready, so that you can complete your on-line application.
